Lidkoping porcelain

The manufacture of porcelain is the Lidköping, town, Västra Götaland län (county), southwestern Sweden, at the mouth of the Lidån River on Kinneviken Bay, Lake Vänern. It is of medieval origin and was chartered in 1446. Located in the former porcelain factory 1936–2005 is the Rörstrand Centre which today includes a museum, restaurant, art gallery, an outlet store of porcelain. Rörstrand Centre in the former porcelain factory in Lidköping ALP was founded in 1912 out of Nyman’s porcelain painting (established in Lidkoping in 1898). ALP was at this time a state of the art feldspar porcelain factory.
